Board of Directors and NED’s
The e2e Executive Board is comprised of progressive salvage agents and experienced insurance decision makers. This structure is unique to businesses within the salvage and recycling sector and signifies the advanced partnership approach adopted by e2e. The makeup of the board is specifically designed to ensure ongoing innovation and support the identification of opportunities to unlock additional commercial potential in the total loss vehicle management process.
Martyn Holman
Chairman
Martyn has spent over 40 years in insurance on the broking and underwriting sectors. Martyn is responsible for the leadership of the Board, steers the direction of the business and ensure effective communication within the group. Outside of work, Martyn likes to play golf and enjoys watching his horses run at the races.
Jim Loughran
Chief Executive Officer
Jim joined the company as Chief Executive Officer in November 2021. He has over 30 years’ experience and a strong track record in effecting business transformation and servicing customers. His career has seen him accountable for successfully leading technology-based change programmes, directing business operations and architecting customer experience across a variety of industry sectors for blue chip brands including BT, Disney, ING Bank, QBE Insurance and Rolls Royce Aerospace. Jim works with the e2e Board and Senior Management Team to develop and implement business strategy; overseeing business operations, member performance and client experience. He leads the business to realise its strategic commitments, to include harnessing the latest advances in technology and digitalisation, to deliver service innovation to clients and network members. Married with grown up children, outside of work, Jim enjoys competing in the Citroen C1 Series as a keen and enthusiastic amateur. When not behind the wheel, Jim can be found sailing on the Solent with the Lloyd’s of London Yacht Club.
Darren Combellack
Director
Darren is a Director of Combellack Vehicle Recyclers Ltd, a Cornish family-run business, founded in 1983 by his father James and his mother Sally. Darren joined the family business straight from school, taking over the role as general manager in 2007. In his time in this role, Darren has been responsible for introducing huge technological leaps to the company, bringing the sale of used car parts and salvage vehicles forward into a nationwide audience. Darren became a director of e2e in 2016, and is very proud to be a part of such an organisation. Outside of work, Darren is kept busy by his young family; 3 children, his partner, and Fleur, the family beagle. They can all often be found out and about, enjoying the Cornish countryside and coastline of a weekend.
Allen Prebble
Director
Like many automotive recycling business owners, Allen is the second generation of his family to run Silverlake, and in his 30+ years at the helm he has taken the business from a small traditional breaker’s yard to a multi-million pound enterprise. Allen takes his responsibilities as the owner and Managing Director of the company seriously and has kept Silverlake at the forefront of the vehicle recycling industry by constantly looking for efficiencies in the multiple processes involved in automotive recycling. In addition, Allen is keenly aware of the business’ socio-corporate responsibility to the community surrounding it, and he sponsors many local events and charities, including a county-wide scheme that provides a free service promoting fire and crime prevention initiatives and supporting vulnerable and elderly people, particularly victims of burglary and domestic violence. Outside work Allen has a number of interests, including motor racing, both watching and competing, travel, theatre and fine dining.
Hamish Irvine
Director
Based in Scotland, Hamish is an original member of NSG, now e2e, since it launched in 1985. Having been in the business for 50+ years. Hamish went to college to study agriculture but his career took a different direction to his studies and he became a specialist dismantler of sports cars. Since then the business has expanded handling a diverse range of motor vehicles to include cars, vans, motorcycles, HGVs, farm machinery, tractors and plant. Hamish loves the winter, not only because it is a busy time for the business, but it also gives him the opportunity to enjoy his passion for snowboarding and ski-ing in the Scottish resorts and the Alps.
Chris Morgan
Director
Chris is a director at ASM Auto Recycling, where he has worked for the past 40+ years. His focus is operations, service quality and consistency and the overall day to day running of the business. He brings a practical perspective to the e2e Board where he has been a director for several years. Throughout his career Chris has proactively supported the evolution of the industry whereby salvage and recycling agents have overcome traditional thinking, remodeling their businesses to become professional partners who operate to the highest service standards, protecting the environment and ensuring regulatory compliance. He is proud to be an instrumental member of the e2e Board which has been at the forefront of setting new industry standards and continues to innovate. Apart from bringing up four children in his spare time, Chris enjoys rallying his Mk1 Lotus Cortina, cycling and has recently become a born again motor cyclist; which some might say really does confirm his midlife crisis!
Rob Smale
NED
Born in Wales, Rob Smale lives in Hampshire and was until this year the Transformation Director at Ageas UK. Prior to that Rob was Claims Director at Ageas for 13 years. Originally a mining engineer Rob joined Aviva in 1996 and became Director of Claims for its direct arm. In 2003 he moved to Ageas where he helped lead its rapid growth including the establishment of an entirely new claims function for Tesco Underwriting. He was responsible for disrupting the motor and home supply chains with the Solution Centre and Solution Network concepts respectively. Whilst at Ageas Rob’s team won over 30 industry awards and gained a reputation for innovation which included one of the first applications of artificial intelligence in the claims space. In his time at Ageas Rob was on the Supervisory Board of the Insurance Fraud Bureau and a founder ambassador of I Love Claims.
Jason Cross
NED
Jason brings three decades of industry experience to the e2e Executive Board and a history of many industry firsts. His company, FAB Recycling Ltd, was ahead of the curve as the first ever carbon neutral vehicle dismantler in 2010. FAB also designed and implemented the first reclaimed parts grading system and the first reclaimed parts procurement platform in the UK. His role at e2e will see Jason advising the Board on network strategy with a particular focus, unsurprisingly, on ESG and reclaimed parts.
